Resumo: | This article aims to scan the literature on the use of preheated composite resin as a luting agent, observing the positive and negative points when compared with resin cements, addressing ways of heating this composite resin and cementation protocols . The Google Scholar, Scielo – Scientific Electronic Library Online and PubMed – Publisher MEDLINE databases were used to select articles, using the search terms: “composite resins”, “thermo-heated resin” and “cementation”,. In conclusion, preheated composite resins have shown excellent properties, therefore becoming a good option for treatments that demand satisfactory aesthetic results and a great investment in contemporary dentistry. |

Foram utilizadas as bases de dados Google Scholar, Scielo – Scientific Electronic Library Online e PubMed – Publisher MEDLINE para seleção dos artigos, através dos termos de pesquisa: “resinas compostas”, “resina termo aquecida”e “cimentação”.
