Resumo: Introduction: Psychomotor agitation is a characteristic feature characterized by intense arousal, involving both psychological and motor aspects. This condition can manifest in various ways and is often associated with various mental and neurological disorders. Methodology: This literature review employed a systematic approach to identify relevant studies on psychomotor engineering in hospital settings in Brazil. The descriptors used were Psychomotor Agitation, Psychomotor Hyperactivity, Brazil, Hospitals, Psychiatric. The search was conducted in the PUBMED database, using the search filter for the last 10 years. Result: In the context of non-pharmacological management of the agitated patient, recommendations emphasize the importance of following a line of interventions, prioritizing less invasive measures before resorting to more coercive approaches. The process begins with directing the patient to a secure environment, providing a fundamental basis for improvement management. Conclusion: Psychomotor improvement is a symptom that can significantly impact a person's quality of life. Understanding the underlying causes and implementing an appropriate therapeutic approach are essential for the effective management of this state. The support of mental health professionals is crucial to assist in both the assessment and treatment of this complex condition.

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-12-07info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/98110.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p4779-4788Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 4779-4788Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 4779-4788Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 4779-47882674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/981/1173Copyright (c) 2023 Natália da Cruz Barbosa, Tiago Marinho Rodrigues, Ricardo Luiz Zanotto Filho, Rafael Camargo Campos, Luana Gontijo Barbosa Menandro, Pedro Julien Salvarani Borges, Edson Duarte Lira Filho, Eduardo Sarmento do Ó, Matheus de Araújo Duda, Francisco Henrique Da Silva Beltrão, Sthephania Katarinny Guedes de Oliveira, Thaylla Ribeiro Lima, Matheus Santos Lima, Natascha Cristina Santos Sampaio, Andreza Junqueira Foureaux, Fernanda Carolina Pereira Eismann, Tamires Mélo, Lhaura Pryscilla Sousa Oliveira, Dionatan Assis de Azevedo, Gabriela do Nascimento Leite, Gabriela Tomazini Rodrigues Pereira Amorim, Ana Luísa Lucas Correa, Nilson José Araújo de Albuquerque, Eliab Batista Barros, Hosana Maria Araújo Rêgohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBarbosa, Natália da CruzRodrigues, Tiago MarinhoFilho, Ricardo Luiz Zanotto Campos, Rafael Camargo Menandro, Luana Gontijo BarbosaBorges, Pedro Julien Salvarani Filho, Edson Duarte Lira do Ó, Eduardo Sarmento Duda, Matheus de AraújoBeltrão, Francisco Henrique Da SilvaOliveira, Sthephania Katarinny Guedes deLima, Thaylla RibeiroLima, Matheus SantosSampaio, Natascha Cristina SantosFoureaux, Andreza JunqueiraEismann, Fernanda Carolina PereiraLima, Tamires Mélo deOliveira, Lhaura Pryscilla SousaAzevedo, Dionatan Assis de Leite, Gabriela do Nascimento Amorim, Gabriela Tomazini Rodrigues PereiraCorrea, Ana Luísa Lucas Albuquerque, Nilson José Araújo deBarros, Eliab BatistaRêgo, Hosana Maria Araújo2023-12-08T17:11:05Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/981Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-12-08T17:11:05Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
