Resumo: | Patients in psychomotor agitation represent risks for health professionals, others present and for themselves. Thus, this article aims to acknowledge the protocols related to the promotion of safety, specifically, of health professionals in relation to patients in psychomotor agitation. As for the method, it is an integrative review in PubMED, SciELO, Science Direct and BVS databases. After applying the criteria, 15 articles were selected from which four main categories were identified and analyzed: safety actions and protocols for aggressive patients (behavioral, environmental, organizational, pharmacological and physical management); causes, predictive factors and identification of the unstable patient; training of health professionals and reporting of incidents. After analyzing these factors, an early and rapid assessment of the patient's condition is of great importance so that there is an appropriate management, taking into account their individuality. Furthermore, it is necessary that professionals have solid knowledge about the different measures, that there is efficient organization of the team and protocols established in the places of health promotion. For this, professional training must be implemented and maintained in The form of continuing education, addressing the different managements and their moments of use, valuing the constant improvement of methods for these patients, for all health professionals. Furthermore, the notification of cases by professionals should be encouraged, after all, the underreporting of cases presents itself as a problem for the collection of estimates about aggressions resulting from psychomotor agitation. Therefore, clear guidelines and standard operating procedure should be encouraged, seeking to keep professional environments safe for all. |

Así, este artículo tiene como objetivo reconocer los protocolos relacionados con la promoción de la seguridad, específicamente, de los profesionales de la salud en relación con los pacientes en agitación psicomotora. En cuanto al método, se trata de una revisión integradora en las bases de datos PubMED, SciELO, Science Direct y BVS. Después de aplicar los criterios, se seleccionaron 15 artículos de los cuales se identificaron y analizaron cuatro categorías principales: acciones y protocolos de seguridad para pacientes agresivos (manejo conductual, ambiental, organizacional, farmacológico y físico); causas, factores predictivos e identificación del paciente inestable; formación de profesionales sanitarios y notificación de incidencias. Después de analizar estos factores, una evaluación temprana y rápida del estado del paciente es de gran importancia para que exista un manejo adecuado, teniendo en cuenta su individualidad. Además, es necesario que los profesionales tengan sólidos conocimientos sobre las diferentes medidas, que exista una organización eficiente del equipo y protocolos establecidos en los lugares de promoción de la salud. Para ello, la formación profesional debe implementarse y mantenerse como educación continua, abordando los diferentes manejos y sus momentos de uso, valorando la mejora constante de los métodos para estos pacientes, para todos los profesionales de la salud. Sumado a esto, se debe incentivar la notificación de los casos por parte de los profesionales, pues el subregistro de casos se presenta como un problema para la recolección de estimaciones sobre agresiones resultantes de la agitación psicomotora. Por lo tanto, se deben fomentar pautas claras y un procedimiento operativo estándar, buscando mantener los entornos profesionales seguros para todos.Pacientes em agitação psicomotora representam riscos para profissionais da saúde, demais presente e para si próprios. Assim, o presente artigo tem como objetivo reconhecer os protocolos relativos à promoção de segurança, especificamente, dos profissionais da saúde perante pacientes em agitação psicomotora. Quanto ao método, trata-se de revisão integrativa nas bases de dados PubMED, SciELO, Science Direct e BVS. Após aplicação dos critérios foram selecionados 15 artigos a partir dos quais foram identificadas e analisadas quatro principais categorias: ações e protocolos de segurança perante paciente agressivo (manejo comportamental, ambiental, organizacional, farmacológico e físico); causas, fatores preditivos e identificação do paciente instável; capacitação dos profissionais da saúde e notificação dos incidentes. Após análise desses fatores, é de grande importância a avaliação precoce e rápida do estado do paciente para que haja apropriado manejo, levando em consideração sua individualidade. Outrossim, é necessário que os profissionais tenham conhecimento sólido sobre as diferentes medidas, que haja eficiente organização da equipe e protocolos estabelecidos nos locais de promoção à saúde. Para isso, a capacitação profissional deve ser implementada e mantida como educação continuada, abordando os diferentes manejos e seus momentos de utilização, valorizando o aprimoramento constante dos métodos sobre esses pacientes, para todos os profissionais da saúde. Somado a isso, deve-se incentivar a notificação dos casos pelos profissionais, afinal, a subnotificação dos casos apresenta-se como um problema para o levantamento de estimativas acerca de agressões decorrentes da agitação psicomotora.
