Resumo: | Osseointegration is a part of the process which ensures success in dental implant therapy, making sure that the process is safe and efficient for the installation of the dental implant, and by that making it able to receive the strength and pressure that comes with chewing. It is widely known that there are multiple factors involved, such as the correct surgical technique, the tissular response and, of course, the appropriate prothesis. As a part of the process of osteointegration, besides the choosing of the correct dental implant, there is the surface treatment, which refers to a process that modifies the most superficial layer of a dental implant with the reason of optimizing osseointegration, and by that cutting short the possibility of problems that lead to dental implant loss. This process can be done in many ways, as it is said in this article throughout learning mechanisms such as graphics. Its final objective is to promote intimate contact between that and the implant, and by this work it was possible to affirm that the surface treatment can be considered a key part of the process of osseointegration, and that the correct planning of the surgery will direct which is the best for each case. |

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-05-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/24710.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n2p86-100Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 2 (2023): BJIHS Qualis B3; 86-100Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 2 (2023): BJIHS Qualis B3; 86-100Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 2 (2023): BJIHS Qualis B3; 86-1002674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/247/320Copyright (c) 2023 Laura Maria Ferreira, Marcelly Carolinny Lima Vicente, Maria Eduarda Andrade de Oliveira, João José Cossatishttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessFerreira, Laura MariaLima Vicente, Marcelly Carolinny Andrade de Oliveira, Maria Eduarda Cossatis, João José2023-05-03T12:07:43Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/247Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-05-03T12:07:43Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false |
