Resumo: | Endometriosis and female infertility are interconnected in complex ways. Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after twelve months of regular sexual intercourse, and endometriosis, an estrogen-dependent condition, has a well-established association with difficulty conceiving. Although the exact cause and cause-and-effect relationship remain controversial, endometriosis affects fertility in several ways. Peritoneal lesions, ovarian endometrioma and deep endometriosis negatively influence reproductive health, which can lead to anatomical distortions, endocrine and immunological dysfunctions. Identify the factors of endometriosis that affect female infertility. Data collection was conducted through the following databases: Nursing Database (BDENF), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), PubMed, Latin American Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS). Various types of publications were consulted, including scientific articles, monographs and magazines, with the aim of obtaining relevant information on the topic. The results revealed a substantial correlation between the severity of endometriosis and infertility rates, highlighting the importance of early detection and appropriate management. Additionally, therapeutic interventions such as laparoscopic surgeries and IVF treatments have been associated with improvements in conception rates. The discussion emphasizes the need for multidisciplinary approaches, integrating gynecology and assisted reproduction, to optimize reproductive results in women with endometriosis. In summary, endometriosis presents itself as a significant factor in the occurrence of female infertility, negatively impacting conception. Understanding this relationship is crucial to guide clinical approaches and treatment strategies, aiming to improve the chances of pregnancy in women affected by this condition. |

Lesões peritoneais, ovário endometrioma e endometriose profunda influenciam negativamente na saúde reprodutiva, podendo levar a distorções anatômicas, disfunções endócrinas e imunológica. Specialized Dentistry Group2024-02-05info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/141110.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n2p502-512Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 502-512Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 502-512Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 2 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 502-5122674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1411/1595Copyright (c) 2024 Maria Kéren Ribeiro Sousa , Ana Beatriz Oliveira de Melo , Maria Eduarda Bezerra do Nascimento , Elisabete Soares de Santana , Erica Regina São Miguel Amorim , Rozileide Martins Simões Candeia , Aline Gabrielle Gomes , Rafaella Menezes de Oliveira Parente, Thays Flávia Silva Oliveira , Jóse Ricardo Baracho dos Santos Júnior , Evilyn Brena Henrique de Souzahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSousa , Maria Kéren RibeiroMelo , Ana Beatriz Oliveira deNascimento , Maria Eduarda Bezerra do Santana , Elisabete Soares deAmorim , Erica Regina São MiguelCandeia , Rozileide Martins Simões Gomes , Aline Gabrielle Parente, Rafaella Menezes de Oliveira Oliveira , Thays Flávia Silva Júnior , Jóse Ricardo Baracho dos SantosSouza, Evilyn Brena Henrique de2024-02-05T22:49:42Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1411Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-02-05T22:49:42Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false |
