Resumo: | This in-depth study aims to meticulously examine the management of asthma in children, focusing on an integrative review of predominant treatments. Pediatric asthma, owing to its unique characteristics and the dynamism of childhood development, presents specific challenges that necessitate a comprehensive and multifaceted analysis of available therapeutic options. The review not only highlights the variety of pharmacological interventions but also delves into the realm of non-pharmacological therapies, recognizing that an effective approach often extends beyond the isolated use of medications. Within the pharmacological scope, the analysis explores distinct classes of medications, assessing their relative efficacies, safety considerations, and potential specific side effects in asthmatic children. Simultaneously, non-pharmacological therapies such as lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, and psychosocial interventions are addressed, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach that considers the patient as a whole. The integrative focus aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of available treatment options and their practical applicability. In the context of the integrative review, it is crucial to underscore the need for a personalized approach to asthma management in children. This implies a careful consideration of individual, environmental, and genetic factors that may influence treatment response. A deeper understanding of these elements will contribute to the development of more targeted and tailored intervention strategies for each pediatric asthmatic patient, promoting a truly personalized approach. In summary, this work proposes a critical and comprehensive analysis of pediatric asthma management, highlighting not only the available treatment options but also the importance of integrative strategies to optimize clinical outcomes and significantly improve the quality of life for children affected by this chronic respiratory condition. |

Management of Pediatric Asthma: An Integrative Review of Key TreatmentsManejo da Asma Pediátrica: uma revisão integrativa dos principais tratamentosAsma Pediátrica; Manejo; Revisão Integrativa. This in-depth study aims to meticulously examine the management of asthma in children, focusing on an integrative review of predominant treatments. The review not only highlights the variety of pharmacological interventions but also delves into the realm of non-pharmacological therapies, recognizing that an effective approach often extends beyond the isolated use of medications. Specialized Dentistry Group2023-12-11info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/104410.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n5p5156-5169Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 5156-5169Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 5156-5169Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 5 (2023): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 5156-51692674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1044/1203Copyright (c) 2023 Cintia Alves Barros , Ingrid Bouillet Maia, Jéssica Mendes Allan Pinto , Rachel Conceição Moniz, Edenizar Gomes de Freitas https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAlves Barros , CintiaBouillet Maia, IngridMendes Allan Pinto , Jéssica Conceição Moniz, Rachel Gomes de Freitas , Edenizar2023-12-11T20:50:07Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1044Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-12-11T20:50:07Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false |
