Hospital toy libraries can be defined as a space capable of promoting interaction between children, through leisure time, socialization, recovery of self-esteem, joy and the will to live Objective: To assess the degree of satisfaction of parents or guardians regarding the use of the toy library as an aid in the recovery of their children during hospitalization. Methodology: This is a descriptive, qualitative-quantitative exploratory field research conducted with 50 parents or guardians accompanying children in the PSI of Cacoal. The interviews occurred after the TCLE was applied. Results: There was a predominance of female interviewees (88%) in the age range of 20 to 35 years. Most children (80%) had already sought care 3 or more times, and this same percentage said the child had already used the toy room. The unanimity of the participants (94%) perceived the toy library as a tool to help in the process of hospitalization and treatment of children. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that parents understood the toy library as a welcoming space capable of balancing the emotional aspects of children, especially reducing the fear and stigma related to the hospital environment, making it essential in the process of rehabilitation and care of these children. |

Specialized Dentistry Group2023-05-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/25310.36557/2674-8169.2023v5n2p176-190Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 No. 2 (2023): BJIHS Qualis B3; 176-190Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 5 Núm. 2 (2023): BJIHS Qualis B3; 176-190Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 5 n. 2 (2023): BJIHS Qualis B3; 176-1902674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/253/335Copyright (c) 2023 LARICE MARIA PEREIRA, LUCAS DOS REIS CARVALHO, MARIA MADALENA DOS SANTOS, TERESINHA CÍCERA TEODORA VIANAhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPEREIRA, LARICE MARIADOS REIS CARVALHO, LUCASDOS SANTOS, MARIA MADALENATEODORA VIANA, TERESINHA CÍCERA2023-05-16T19:56:01Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/253Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2023-05-16T19:56:01Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false |
