Resumo: The endotracheal aspiration of a patient with COVID 19 is an essential procedure where a vacuum aspiration system should preferably be used to reduce the formation of aerosols and droplets and a closed aspiration system for both bronchi Al hygiene and bronchial secretion sample collection. Objective: To carry out an integrative review on care in handling the closed endotracheal aspiration system in critically ill patients with COVID 19. Methodology: This is a bibliographic survey, descriptive and prospective with a quantitative approach. Results: The descriptor Care for critically ill patients was the most emphasized in the publications (65.2%), followed by Care for patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome-SARS COV 2 (28,8%), and closed endotracheal aspiration system (6,1%). Among the types of studies found in the articles, those with descriptive methodologies predominated. Conclusion: The application of refined techniques during care in handling the closed endotracheal suction system in patients with COVID 19 is essential in maintaining life in severe conditions of respiratory failure. The health professional must acquire skills to deal with patients in these conditions and apply all existing techniques.

Specialized Dentistry Group2024-03-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/162310.36557/2674-8169.2024v6n3p617-631Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 No. 3 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 617-631Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; Vol. 6 Núm. 3 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 617-631Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences ; v. 6 n. 3 (2024): BJIHS QUALIS B3; 617-6312674-8169reponame:Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciencesinstname:Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)instacron:GOEporhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/article/view/1623/1813Copyright (c) 2024 Anny keury da silva Barros , Walkiria maria maranhão da Cruz , Kelly lima Zamoro , Cristiane ramos de Lima , Jessica carvalho Santos , Paula cristina rios Rodriguez, Carolina dultra Abrahim , Anne Serruya , Gabriela granetto Gomes , Alice Serruya , Arimatéia portela de Azevedo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBarros , Anny keury da silvaCruz , Walkiria maria maranhão daZamoro , Kelly limaLima , Cristiane ramos deSantos , Jessica carvalhoRodriguez, Paula cristina riosAbrahim , Carolina dultraSerruya , Anne Gomes , Gabriela granettoSerruya , AliceAzevedo , Arimatéia portela de2024-03-08T23:19:49Zoai:ojs.bjihs.emnuvens.com.br:article/1623Revistahttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihsONGhttps://bjihs.emnuvens.com.br/bjihs/oaijournal.bjihs@periodicosbrasil.com.br2674-81692674-8169opendoar:2024-03-08T23:19:49Brazilian Journal of Implantology and Health Sciences - Grupo de Odontologia Especializada (GOE)false
