Resumo: | This study aims to describe the knowledge of nursing professionals in caring for patients in Cardiopulmonary Arrest (CPA), according to the literature from 2018 to 2023. This is an integrative literature review study. The bibliographic survey was carried out between the months of July, August and September 2023, in the LILACS, SCIELO, Periódico CAPES and REDALYC databases. The descriptors were used: cardiopulmonary resuscitation “AND” nursing, which are registered in the Health Sciences Descriptors (DECS), and which were defined according to the theme proposed by this study. The inclusion criteria for this study were original articles published in full, available in indexed databases, written in Portuguese, and published in the last five years. After crossing the descriptors with Boolean in the databases, 61 studies were found in LILACS, 34 in SCIELO, 69 in CAPES and 38 articles in REDALYC. After analysis, reading of the articles and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 10 studies were selected. Regarding the approach of the studies selected to compose this review, 1 was quantitative-qualitative, 2 quantitative cross-sectional studies, 1 descriptive, qualitative study, 3 studies with a descriptive quantitative approach, 2 research with a quasi-experimental design, and 1 cross-sectional study , descriptive. After selecting the studies in the databases, they were distributed in a data table containing the following information: title, author, year, database and objective of the study. In view of the aspects mentioned, it was possible to observe that many nursing professionals are properly trained to carry out early recognition of a cardiorespiratory arrest. Likewise, many have scientific knowledge about the frequency of chest compressions and ventilations, as well as understanding the importance of defibrillation after identifying shockable rhythms. However, some still have superficial knowledge, so it is necessary to reinforce the possible rhythms found in a PCR, and the correct sequence for care. |

However, some still have superficial knowledge, so it is necessary to reinforce the possible rhythms found in a PCR, and the correct sequence for care.
