Resumo: | The adequate performance of the Dental Surgeon in the face of the complexity of the diagnosis and efficient planning requires a careful selection of exams and complementary instruments, aiming at comprehensive assistance throughout the treatment. However, among the many existing dental offices, there are few capable of combining comfort and practicality for both the patient and the professional. Given this scenario, all areas of dentistry, especially oral rehabilitation, lack instruments that progressively contribute to a favorable prognosis. The objective of this study is to carry out a literature review that addresses the digital workflow compared to the conventional approach in the context of rehabilitative treatment. The research is based on 15 articles, mostly written in English, of which 14 were identified on the PUBMED platform and 1 on SCIELO. Publication dates vary, with one article dated 2017, two from 2018, one from 2019, three from 2020, three from 2021, four from 2022 and one from 2023. JPD (The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry) appears as the most frequent, hosting 5 studies. Despite the limitations inherent to this study, it is possible to infer that both the digital and conventional workflow present satisfactory parameters in oral rehabilitation, notably in prosthetic treatments, whether individual or joint. |

A JPD (The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry) figura como a revista mais frequente, hospedando 5 estudos.
