Resumo: Introduction: Pregnancy is a unique experience in the life of a woman and her family, and throughout the pregnancy physiological changes will occur, generating expectations, emotions, anxiety, fears and discoveries. During this period, therefore, it is necessary to provide adequate health care to the pregnant woman. Objectives: This research aimed to understand the perspective of pregnant women on prenatal care in primary care; identify possible reasons that lead pregnant women to undergo prenatal care; analyze the perceptions and knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of prenatal care and its benefits and describe the sociodemographic profile of pregnant women. methods: This study was classified as qualitative and involved 8 pregnant women who agreed to participate in the study. During the interview, they were asked questions about pregnancy and prenatal care in a format that they could answer openly, allowing them to express their frustrations, doubts and concerns. Results: After transcribing the interviews, they were analyzed and 4 thematic categories emerged: Thematic category 1 - The care received by the nursing team during prenatal care and the satisfaction of pregnant women; Thematic category 2 – The rights of pregnant women; Thematic category 3: reasons that interfere with the success of prenatal care; Thematic category 4 – Insecurity during pregnancy. Conclusion: Pregnant women value prenatal care and seek information. Some people already have negative experiences. Therefore, pay special attention to this point. This is a very important moment for them to ask their questions and feel welcomed by health professionals.

Nesse período, portanto, é necessário oferecer atenção adequada à saúde da gestante. Objetivos: Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo comprender a perspectiva das gestantes sobre a assistência do pré-natal na atenção primária; identificar possíveis motivos que levam as gestantes a realizar o pré-natal; analisar as percepções e o conhecimento das gestantes sobre a importância do pré-natal e seus benefícios e descrever o perfil sociodemográfico das gestantes. métodos: Este estudo foi classificado como qualitativo e envolveu 8 gestantes que aceitar participar do estudo. Durante a entrevista, foram feitas perguntas sobre gravidez e cuidados pré-natais em um formato que elas pudessem responder abertamente, podendo expressar suas frustrações, dúvidas e preocupações. Resultados: Após a transcrição das entrevistas, as mesmas foram analisadas e daí surgiram 4 categorias temáticas: Categoria temática 1 - Os cuidados recebidos pela equipe de enfermagem durante o pré-natal e a satisfação das gestantes; Categoria temática 2 – Os direitos das gestantes; Categoria temática 3: motivos que interferem no sucesso do pré-natal; Categoria temática 4 – Insegurança durante a gravidez. Conclusão: As gestantes valorizam o pré-natal e buscam informações. Algumas pessoas já têm experiências negativas. Portanto, preste atenção especial a este ponto.
