Resumo: | The aim of this study was to assess the benefits observed after the implementation of a school garden in an Association that serves people with disabilities in the municipality of Paiçandu/PR. This is a descriptive cross-sectional study that analysed the perceptions of individuals involved with the garden project, which were collected from teachers of the institution, parents of enrolled students and company employees who worked on the project. Among the results, different benefits of the garden could be observed, especially concerning social, pedagogical, food and environmental aspects. Positive reports were observed from parents and teachers, particularly related to the social and pedagogical areas. The role of social and environmental transformation of the company involved in the project is also highlighted. |

The role of social and environmental transformation of the company involved in the project is also highlighted.El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar los beneficios observados tras la implantación de un huerto escolar en una Asociación que atiende a personas con discapacidad en el municipio de Paiçandu/PR. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo transversal en el que se analizaron las percepciones de las personas involucradas en el proyecto del jardín, que se recogieron entre los profesores de la institución, los padres de los alumnos matriculados y los empleados de la empresa que trabajaron en el proyecto. Entre los resultados, se pudieron observar diferentes beneficios del huerto, especialmente en lo que respecta a los aspectos sociales, pedagógicos, alimentarios y medioambientales. Se observaron informes positivos por parte de los padres y los profesores, sobre todo relacionados con las áreas social y pedagógica. También se destaca el papel de transformación social y medioambiental que desempeña la empresa implicada en el proyecto.O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar os benefícios observados após a implementação de uma horta escolar em Associação que atende pessoas com deficiências no município de Paiçandu/PR. Trata-se de um estudo transversal descritivo que analisou as percepções de indivíduos envolvidos com o projeto da horta, as quais foram coletadas de professores da instituição, pais de alunos matriculados e funcionários da empresa que atuaram no projeto. Entre os resultados, foi possível observar distintos benefícios da horta, especialmente concernentes a aspectos sociais, pedagógicos, alimentares e ambientais. Observou-se relatos positivos de pais e professores, particularmente relacionados às áreas social e pedagógica.
