Resumo: For at least forty years, pharmaceutical care and the most varied services that make up this clinical practice, have saved millions of dollars in healthcare by improving the clinical status of patients and slowing the progression of their health conditions. In view of this, a Pharmaceutical Office was implemented at the Medicines Distribution Center in Alfenas-MG, with the purpose of providing these pharmaceutical services and offering curricular internships to Pharmacy students. The objective of this work was to analyze the perception of academics who completed a supervised voluntary internship at the Pharmaceutical Office from February 2018 to November 2019, through a qualitative study. The interns were interviewed about their experience and the interviews (n=17) were recorded, transcribed, evaluated and the responses were divided into five categories. It was observed that the most recurrent statements about the importance of the internship were: clinical experience through direct contact with the patient (71%), application of theoretical knowledge in practice (50%), opportunity to help patients (14%). Regarding the difficulties/disadvantages encountered: communication with the patient (43%), time for studies/activities (28%), difficulty in integrating knowledge (28%). The most recurrent statements about the facilities/advantages found were: location of the office (21%), communication with the patient (43%), support from advisors (15%). The academics suggested: increasing opening hours (28%), meeting to discuss clinical cases (21%), training (14%). According to the results obtained, it is clear that the student's participation in the Pharmaceutical Clinic contributes positively to their training and professional qualifications in the area of pharmaceutical care.
