Resumo: One of the principles of Primary Care is to enable people's first access to the health system, including those who require mental health care. At this point of care, the actions are developed in a geographically known territory, enabling health professionals to be close to know people's life history and their ties with the community/territory where they live, as well as with other elements of their life contexts. We can say that mental health care in Primary Care is very strategic due to the ease of access of teams to users and vice versa. However, the use of medications has been insufficient to promote human well-being. The objective of this study was to develop an intervention plan based on Positive Psychology and Psychiatry aimed at improving the behavioral and mental well-being of patients diagnosed with depressive disorders (F32, F33, F34.1 – ICD) in the population enrolled in the UBS. This study is the elaboration of an intervention plan, being an action proposal built from the identification of problems, needs and determining factors. It will be implemented at the Nazaré Basic Health Unit, located in the municipality of Balsas in Maranhão. At the end of the study, it is expected to obtain significant improvements in the mental health and emotional well-being of the participating patients, achieved through an intervention that incorporates a series of strategies and exercises derived from the disciplines of Lifestyle Medicine and Psychology/Positive Psychiatry.
