Resumo: | This study aims to identify the relation of two variables obtained by analyzing the Soccer Test, which are: distance covered (STDISTANCE) and maximum speed (ST speedMAX) and the variables obtained through a laboratory ergospirometry test, which are: maximum oxygen consumption (ET VO2MAX), speed at anaerobic threshold (ET speedAT) and speed at respiratory compensation point (ET speedRCP) in order to propose new indirect models to predict the VO2MAX, AT and RCP in football players. Twenty-five non-professional football players (18.24 ± 0.72 age) attended a two-round evaluation within a 48-hour break. The evaluation 1) measured their weight and stature and undertook them to an electrocardiogram and an ergospirometry test; 2) submitted them to Soccer Test at a football field. The statistical analysis of such relation has shown that the variable ST DISTANCE has a moderate positive correlation with variable ET VO2MAX (r = 0.5746), a very weak positive correlation with variable ET speedAT (r = 0.0849) and a moderate positive correlation with variable ET speedRCP (r = 0.4794). On the other hand, the variable ST speedMAX has presented a strong positive correlation with variable ET VO2MAX (r = 0.6063), a very weak positive correlation with variable ET speedAT (r = 0.0302) and a weak positive correlation with variable ET speedRCP (r = 0.3804). Also, it is possible to assume that the distance covered during the Soccer Test may be a reference to estimate maximum oxygen consumption (VO2MAX), anaerobic threshold (AT) and respiratory compensation point (RCP) in football players. |
