Social participation in conflict regulation: the expansion of Viracopos international airport

Resumo: The movement of Viracopos airport, cargo and passengers, is increasing and the expansion became inevitable. For this to occur, however, will need to expropriate areas that store inside a rich social, cultural, economic and environmental, causing their populations to mobilize in order to build alternatives to mitigate the effects of change in use and occupation in their communities. This study is devoted to this topic, which sought to identify the factors that cause social agents present in the rural district Friburgo understand certain collective action against the regulation of conflicts circumscribed in this problem, especially the demands made by social participation.

Para que isso ocorra, contudo, será necessário desapropriar áreas que guardam em seu interior uma riqueza social, cultural, econômica e ambiental, fazendo com que suas populações se mobilizem no intuito de construir alternativas para mitigar os efeitos da alteração de uso e ocupação do solo em suas comunidades.
