Resumo: | The environment is considered a human, fundamental and diffuse right that imposes joint liability on all subjects under the terms stipulated by the Estocolmo Declaration, which took place in 1972. For this reason, it is up to economic agents to carry out their business actions to pursue profit, considering maintaining an ecologically balanced environment. Likewise, the citizen must guide his actions based on environmental awareness, collaboration demanding from the social sector the respect of specific legislation, and practicing acts of conscious consumption. In the same sense, the State is responsible for forming the population’s environmental and planetary citizenship through education at all levels. Sustainability is linked to the composition of ecological citizenship, which points to transgenerational solidarity and a commitment to future generations. |

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE EVOLUTION OF PLANETARY ENVIRONMENTAL CITIZENSHIP IN BRAZIL AND TRANSGENERATIONAL SOLIDARITYA RELAÇÃO ENTRE A EVOLUÇÃO DA CIDADANIA AMBIENTAL PLANETÁRIA NO BRASIL E A SOLIDARIEDADE TRANSGERACIONALThe environment is considered a human, fundamental and diffuse right that imposes joint liability on all subjects under the terms stipulated by the Estocolmo Declaration, which took place in 1972.
