Scratch and the possibility of new senses on the teaching of Programming Logic

Resumo: The technological revolution that occurred since the second half of the twentieth century caused changes in the various sectors of the economy, education, health, among others. As a result, more and more professionals are trained in the area of Computing, able to develop the software used to create intelligent solutions and meet the needs of today's society. This study promoted a qualitative researchcarried out in the 1st Module of the Technical Course in Computer Science for Internet, developed in the discipline of Programming Logic, of a state technical school of the city of Palmital-SP, in order to analyze the students' perceptions regarding the use of the playful tool Scratch in the introductory teaching of Programming Logic. A questionnaire with six questions was applied after theproject was carried out with the students, as well as an evaluation to verify the learning of the proposed knowledge. The results of the assessment indicated learning for most students. About their perceptions, 74% of the students liked to learn the contents of the Programming Logic, using Scratch. It is concluded that the teaching of Programming Logic requires reflection on new ways of teaching, through active methodologies, that provide the subjects with the necessary skillsimprovement, as is the case of logical reasoning and reflective thinking. A playful tool can be an interesting proposal, which is what indicated the positive senses constructed and expressed by the students after participating in the research.

Em decorrência cada vez mais são requisitados profissionais formados na área de Computação, capacitados para desenvolver os softwares utilizados para criar soluções inteligentes e atender às necessidades da sociedade atual. Este estudo promoveu uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada no 1º Módulo do Curso Técnico em Informática para Internet, desenvolvida na disciplina de Lógica de Programação, de uma escola técnica estadual da cidade de Palmital-SP, com o intuito de analisar as percepções dos alunos com relação ao uso da ferramenta lúdica Scratch no ensino introdutório da Lógica de Programação. Aplicou-se um questionário com seis questões após a realização do projeto com os alunos, bem como uma avaliação para verificar a aprendizagem do conhecimento proposto. Os resultados da avaliação indicaram aprendizagem da maioria dos estudantes. Sobre suas percepções, 74% dos alunos gostaram de aprender os conteúdos da Lógica de Programação, utilizando o Scratch. Conclui-se que o ensino da Lógica de Programação requer reflexões sobre novas maneiras de ensinar por meio de metodologias ativas, que proporcionam aos sujeitos o aprimoramento de habilidades necessárias, como é o caso do raciocínio lógico e o pensamento reflexivo.
