Construction and validation process of an educational product for science teaching using project-based learning allied to Freirean assumptions

Resumo: The present article deals with the process of elaboration and validating an Educational Product (EP) of the didactic material type, based on Project Based Learning with the Freirean assumptions. This is a quali-quantitative descriptive research, using as research method the Case Study. The participants were 9th grade students from a public school in the city of Belém, Pará, and ten teachers with degrees in Natural Sciences. The steps for the conception of the EP were: search for theoretical references, exploratory research, prototyping, testing in a classroom environment, revision for a new version of the educational material, validation by a panel of experts and final version. During the application of the didactic sequence that makes up the EP in a real classroom environment, it was observed that there was cooperation, motivation, and development of competencies such as team dialogue, negotiation, and defense of ideas. It is also noteworthy that there was adequate internalization of the contents, expressed by the results of the post-test, which showed a performance percentage above 70% of correct answers to the proposed questions. In the validation of the EP there was a minimum agreement of 90% in the items related to the main research themes: aesthetics and organization, chapters, writing style, content, criticality and creativity presented in the educational material of the EP.

Esta investigación tiene un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo con objetivo descriptivo, utilizando como método de investigación el Estudio de Caso. Los participantes del estudio fueron alumnos del noveno año de educación primaria de una escuela pública de la ciudad de Belém-Pará y diez profesores con formación en ciencias naturales. Los pasos para la concepción del PE fueron: base de investigación que contiene las referencias teóricas; investigación exploratoria; creación de prototipos; pruebas en el entorno del aula; revisión para una nueva versión del material educativo; validación por el panel de expertos y versión final. Durante la aplicación del PE en un entorno real de aula, se observó que había cooperación, motivación, además del desarrollo de competencias como el diálogo en equipo, la negociación y la defensa de ideas. También se observa que hubo una adecuada internalización, expresada por los resultados de la prueba posterior que mostraron un porcentaje de rendimiento superior al 70% de respuestas correctas de las preguntas propuestas. En la validación del PE, hubo un acuerdo mínimo del 90% en los ítems relacionados con los ejes: estética y organización, capítulos, estilo de redacción, contenido, criticidad y creatividad presentados en el material educativo del PE.O presente artigo trata do processo de elaboração e validação de um Produto Educacional (PE) do tipo material didático, fundamentado na Aprendizagem Baseada em Projetos com os pressupostos freireanos. Esta pesquisa possui uma abordagem quali-quantitativa de cunho descritivo, utilizando como método de pesquisa o Estudo de Caso. Os participantes foram estudantes do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola pública da cidade de Belém-Pará e dez professores com formação em Ciências Naturais. As etapas para concepção do PE foram: busca por referenciais teóricos; pesquisa exploratória; prototipação; testagem em ambiente de sala de aula; revisão para uma nova versão do material educativo; validação por painel de especialistas; e versão final. Durante a aplicação da sequência didática que compõe o PE em ambiente real de sala de aula, observou-se que houve cooperação, motivação, além de desenvolvimento de competências como diálogo em equipes, negociação e defesa de ideias. Ressalta-se também que ocorreu adequada internalização dos conteúdos, expressa pelos resultados do pós-teste que mostraram percentual de desempenho superior a 70% de acertos das questões propostas.
