Who we are, how many we are, where we are? Communication policy as an instrument for integration and consolidation of institutional identity

Resumo: This article aims to problematize the level of knowledge that internal audiences of the Federal Institute of Goias (IF Goiano) have about the place where they work or study. To do so, partial data from the Master's degree research of the institution's server, conducted with 347 participants (students and servers) from three units will be released. The work is descriptive, of mixed approach, study of case type. The results show that, although most of the studied sample knows the existence and acronym of the two federal institutes in Goiás, a large part of this public does not know how many campuses the institution has. Nor can they identify cities where the autarchy is installed. Finally, the authors present the communication policy as an integrative proposal for the institution and necessary for the consolidation of the identity of this autarchy.

Para tanto serão divulgados dados parciais da pesquisa de mestrado de servidora desta Instituição, realizada com 347 participantes (alunos e servidores) de três unidades. O trabalho é descritivo, com abordagem mista, do tipo estudo de caso. Os resultados mostram que, embora a maioria da amostra estudada conheça a existência e sigla dos dois institutos federais em Goiás, grande parte desse público desconhece quantos campi a Instituição possui. Tampouco consegue identificar cidades onde a autarquia está instalada.
