Resumo: | Work plays a central role in the life of the human being, being one of the essential elements for the constitution of identity. Through the work man becomes socialized, produces knowledge and in this interaction is also recognized as an individual, and therefore, work, an essential element for the constitution of individual and professional identity. In this sense, this text, based on a brief bibliographical review, sought to relate work to the constitution of professional teacher identity, necessary identification for a critical-reflexive posture, and the teacher's commitment to his practice in order to act as an agent of transformation contribute to the integral human formation of students. |

Através do trabalho o homem se socializa, produz conhecimento e nessa interação também se reconhece enquanto indivíduo, sendo, portanto, o trabalho, elemento essencial para a constituição da identidade individual e profissional.
