Characterization of Biology questions in the Rio de Janeiro State and the National High School Entrance Exam

Resumo: This study aimed to characterize Biology questions on the National High School Exam and the Rio de Janeiro State University Entrance Test. The topics analyzed in this study were: Introduction to Life, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Animal Tissues, Living Beings, Compared Anatomy and Physiology, Genetics, Evolution, Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Morphology and Physiology of Vegetables. As a result, we have found 320 Biology questions in the Rio de Janeiro State Entrance Test, between the years 1997 and 2020, and 396 in the National High School Entrance Exam, between the years 1998 and 2019. The Rio de Janeiro State Entrance Test was characterized by the predominance of questions related to the structure and function of the human body, while the National High School Exam was characterized by the predominance of Ecology and Environment issues. As a result, it is expected that this study be useful as a basis for better understanding of the differences between these two higher education assessment tests.

Los temas tratados en este estudio fueron: Introducción a la Vida, Bioquímica, Biología Celular, Tejidos Animales, Seres Vivos, Anatomía y Fisiología Comparadas, Genética, Evolución, Ecología y Ciencias Ambientales, Morfología y Fisiología de Vegetales. Como resultado, se encontraron 320 preguntas de Biología en el Examen de Ingreso del Estado de Río de Janeiro, entre 1997 y 2020, y 396 en el Examen Nacional de la Escuela Secundaria, entre 1998 y 2019. El Examen de Ingreso del Estado de Río de Janeiro se caracterizó por el predominio de temas relacionados a la estructura y funcionamiento del cuerpo humano, mientras que el Examen Nacional de la Escuela Secundaria se caracterizó por el predominio de cuestiones de Ecología y Medio Ambiente. Se espera que este trabajo sirva de base para una mejor comprensión de las diferencias entre estos dos modelos de evaluación de acceso a la educación superior.  O presente trabalho teve por objetivo a caracterização das questões de Biologia do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio e do Vestibular Estadual do Rio de Janeiro. Os temas analisados neste estudo foram: Introdução à Vida, Bioquímica, Biologia Celular, Tecidos Animais, Seres Vivos, Anatomia e Fisiologia Comparadas, Genética, Evolução, Ecologia e Ciências Ambientais e Morfologia, Fisiologia dos Vegetais. Como resultado, foram encontradas 320 questões de Biologia no Vestibular Estadual, entre os anos de 1997 e 2020, e 396 no ENEM, entre os anos de 1998 e 2019. O Vestibular Estadual foi caracterizado pelo predomínio de questões relacionadas à estrutura e ao funcionamento do corpo humano, enquanto que o ENEM se caracterizou pelo predomínio de questões de Ecologia e Meio Ambiente.
