Teaching of reading and literacy: evaluation of mobile apps in the early years of Elementary School

Resumo: Mobile apps can be good didactic resources, favoring different pedagogical actions. However, it is important to make a careful selection of the app for educational purposes, and evaluate the aspects that can influence the objectives. This article aims to present a quality analysis of six apps with the potential to support the teaching of reading and literacy. The evaluation was made by four teachers in early Elementary School, during a short course organized for this purpose. The research had a qualitative character, and the data, collected through an evaluation form and analyzed based on theoretical references, made it possible to observe positive features and some limitations in the apps.

Sin embargo, es importante hacer una selección cuidadosa de la aplicación con fines educativos y evaluar los aspectos que pueden influir en los objetivos. En este contexto, este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar el análisis de la evaluación de calidad de seis apps que tienen el potencial de apoyar los procesos de alfabetización y literacidad. Esa evaluación fue realizada por cuatro maestros de los primeros años de la escuela primaria, durante un curso corto organizado para este propósito. La investigación fue cualitativa y los datos, recopilados a través de un formulario de evaluación y analizados en base al marco teórico, permitieron observar aspectos positivos y algunas limitaciones en las apps analizadas.Aplicativos móveis (apps) podem ser bons recursos didáticos, favorecendo ações pedagógicas diversas. No entanto, é importante que a seleção de um app para uso educacional seja criteriosa, avaliando aspectos que possam influenciar os propósitos pretendidos. Nesse contexto, este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar a análise da avaliação da qualidade de seis apps que têm potencial para apoiar os processos de alfabetização e letramento. A referida avaliação foi realizada por quatro professoras dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, durante um minicurso organizado para esse fim.
