Traffic comparison between interfaces 802.3 and 802.11 using pre-execution for access to terminal server through the use of obsolete computers

Resumo: Computers donated through programs of e-waste recycling can be reused with the use of LTSP (Linux Terminal Server Project). In wired interfaces (802.3) this model is viable and functional, but is not always possible to use cable plant. An alternative is the use of wireless networks (802.11) on LTSP. The parameters for the use of wireless networks on LTSP are not known. This article shows a comparative study between interfaces with wire and wireless using terminals to access the service LTSP. The results show configurations permissible both types of network.

Em interfaces com fio, 802.3, este modelo é viável e funcional, mas nem sempre é possível o uso da planta de cabeamento. Uma alternativa é o uso de redes sem fio, 802.11, sobre LTSP. Os parâmetros de uso de redes sem fio sobre LTSP não são conhecidos. Este artigo mostra um estudo comparativo entre interfaces com fio e sem fio usando terminais para acesso ao serviço LTSP.
