Resumo: | The enlargement of compulsory schooling and the trend of migratory flows in Portugal in this century confront us with the question of welcoming foreign students to school. From an empirical research in two high schools located in the Lisbon metropolitan area, and using data from ethnographic observation and the application of semi-directional interviews, we propose a reflection around the arts of making and remaking the common in the plural based on the figure of the foreigner. The school sociability among peers and the establishment of friendly and filial relationships seemed to be a useful entry point to understand the reception processes of those who, because unfamiliar with the Portuguese school, face situations of inevitable anxiety and uncertainty in a critical period of their lives, adolescence. |

A partir de la investigación empírica en dos escuelas secundarias situadas en el área metropolitana de Lisboa, y utilizando los datos de la observación etnográfica y la aplicación de entrevistas semidirectivas, proponemos una reflexión sobre las artes de hacer y rehacer lo común en plural a partir de la figura del extranjero. La sociabilidad escolar entre pares y el establecimiento de relaciones amistosas y filiales pareció ser un punto de entrada útil para comprender los procesos de acogida de quienes, por no estar familiarizados con la escuela portuguesa, se enfrentan a situaciones de ansiedad e incertidumbre inevitables en un período crítico de su vida, la adolescencia.O alargamento da escolarização obrigatória e a tendência dos fluxos migratórios registada em Portugal neste século confrontam-nos com a questão do acolhimento dos alunos estrangeiros na escola. A partir de uma pesquisa empírica em duas escolas do ensino Secundário situadas na área metropolitana de Lisboa, e com recurso a dados provenientes da observação etnográfica e da aplicação de entrevistas semidiretivas, propõe-se uma reflexão em torno das artes de fazer e refazer o comum no plural a partir da figura do estrangeiro.
