E. Gordon’s Music Learning Theory in dialogue with L. Vygotsky’s Historical-Cultural Psychology: subsidy for the music educators’ training

Resumo: This article shares data about a music educators training workshop at a university in the state of São Paulo, offered as part of an ongoing master's project at the same university. The objective of the workshop was to present, theoretically and practically, key concepts of Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory related to music learning in early childhood. It was observed that participating educators had the construction of their own musicality positively impacted, in addition to building another perspective on musical pedagogical practices in early childhood. All these results were analyzed from Lev Vygotsky’s Historical-Cultural Psychology, demonstrating possible points of contact between both theories.

El objetivo del curso de presentar, teóricamente y en la practica, conceptos clave de la Teoría del Aprendizaje Musical de Edwin Gordon relacionados con el aprendizaje musical en la primera infancia. Se observo que los educadores participantes tuvieran la construcción de su propia musicalidad impactada positivamente, además de construir otra perspectiva sobre las prácticas pedagógicas musicales en la primera infancia. Todos estos resultados fueron analizados desde la Psicología Histórico-Cultural de Lev Vygotsky, desmontando posibles puntos de contacto entre las teorías.O presente artigo compartilha dados sobre uma oficina de formação continuada para educadoras(es) musicais em uma universidade do estado de São Paulo, oferecida como parte de um projeto de mestrado em andamento nessa mesma universidade. O objetivo da oficina era apresentar, de maneira teórica e prática, conceitos chaves da Teoria de Aprendizagem Musical de Edwin Gordon relacionados ao aprendizado musical na primeira infância. Foi observado que educadoras(es) participantes tiveram a construção da sua própria musicalidade impactada positivamente, além de construírem uma outra perspectiva acerca de práticas pedagógicas musicais na primeira infância.
