Resumo: This study is part of the doctoral research in Music, in progress, entitled Music for and with Children: Art Confluence and Early Childhood Education, which seeks to carry out an artistic reading of the music class for children, conceiving it as artistic event – creative/reflective action. It is proposed, in the research, to emphasize initiatives that present: space for creation and reflection – characteristics considered artistic; openness to dialogue between artistic languages – confluence of the arts; the performance of teacher-artists as mediators of the musical experience in childhood; and other forms of expression beyond verbal and written language, such as the visual and theatrical, in addition to musicality. Thus, the aim is to think of alternatives for the excessive valuation of the technical-rational knowledge predominant in school and in society, with its reflections in music teaching.

Se propone, en la investigación, enfatizar iniciativas que presenten: espacio de creación y reflexión – características consideradas artísticas; apertura al diálogo entre lenguajes artísticos – confluencia de las artes; la actuación de los maestros-artistas como mediadores de la experiencia musical en la infancia; y otras formas de expresión más allá del lenguaje verbal y escrito, como la visual y la teatral, además de la musicalidad. Así, el objetivo es pensar alternativas para la valoración desmesurada de los saberes técnico-racionales predominantes en la escuela y en la sociedad, con sus reflejos en la enseñanza musical.Este estudo é parte da pesquisa de doutorado em Música, em andamento, intitulada Música para e com as crianças: Confluência das Artes e Educação Infantil, que busca realizar uma leitura artística da aula de música para crianças, concebendo-a como acontecimento artístico – ação criativa/reflexiva. Propõe-se, na pesquisa, enfatizar iniciativas que apresentem: espaço para a criação e reflexão – características consideradas artísticas; abertura para o diálogo entre as linguagens artísticas – confluência das artes; a atuação de professores – como mediadores da experiência musical na infância; e outras formas de expressão para além da linguagem verbal e da escrita, como o visual e o teatral, além da musicalidade.
