Resumo: This study discusses gender in early childhood education. Its general objective is to observe how gender issues permeate the daily school life of Kindergarten at a private school in the city of Belém, Pará State. For this, it sought to understand what is said in the literature on gender in kindergarten, as well as observe the relations of the subjects of this space within the gender perspective. Qualitative approach procedures and field work were adopted, carried out for three months in two classes. Three teachers, students and thirteen children participated. The relationship between teachers, students and their peers, the organization of the school space, games, language and forms of praise were registered. The results show that in the school in question, despite efforts to the contrary, a strengthening of gender dichotomies still prevails and contributes to the immersion of children in the game of identity and difference.

Tem como objetivo geral observar como as questões de gênero permeiam o cotidiano escolar da Educação Infantil de uma escola particular na cidade de Belém, estado do Pará. Para isso, buscou compreender o que é dito na literatura sobre gênero na Educação Infantil, assim como observar as relações dos sujeitos desse espaço dentro da perspectiva de gênero. Adotaram-se procedimentos da abordagem qualitativa e trabalho de campo, realizado durante três meses em duas turmas. Foram participantes duas professoras, um professor, uma estagiária e treze crianças. Foi registrada a relação entre professor/as, alunos/as e seus pares, a organização do espaço escolar, as brincadeiras, a linguagem e as formas de elogios.
