The 'IU Game: Bringing Pairs Together' as an Active Strategy in Teaching the Content of Female Urinary Incontinence

Resumo: | Abstract: Faced with a public health problem such as Urinary Incontinence, this article has the objective of potentiating reflections on the teaching of Urinary Incontinence and subsidizing health professors in the possibility of educational material that provides dynamic and collaborative interactions in the teaching and learning process. This research is a cut of an Educational Product originated from a Professional Master's Degree carried out in a Federal Institute in Brazil. This Educational Product consists of a Teaching Sequence planned and systematized in the model of the flipped classroom supported by Digital Information and Communication Technologies for teaching the content of Urinary Incontinence in higher education. The 'UI Game: Uniting Pairs' was elaborated as an active strategy integrating the educational activities of the Didactic Sequence. The results presented, after the validation of the Educational Product, demonstrated the viability of the Didactic Sequence and the 'UI Game: Uniting Peers' contributed to positively enhance knowledge, focusing on learning and fostering critical interaction among the people involved. It was possible to subsidize health teachers in their teaching practices with quality educational material about Female Urinary Incontinence. In the same way, the game also enables health professionals to approach the theme with the patients in an effective way. Keywords: Health Education. Teaching materials. Women's Health. Urology. Gynecology.Resumo: Diante de um problema de saúde pública como a Incontinência Urinária, este artigo possui o objetivo de potencializar as reflexões no ensino de Incontinência Urinária e subsidiar às/aos docentes da área da saúde a possibilidade de um material educativo que proporcione interações dinâmicas e colaborativas no processo de ensino e de aprendizagem. Esta pesquisa é um recorte de um Produto Educacional oriundo de um Mestrado Profissional realizado em um Instituto Federal no Brasil. Esse Produto Educacional consiste em uma Sequência Didática planejada e sistematizada no modelo da Sala de Aula Invertida apoiado nas Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação para o ensino do conteúdo de Incontinência Urinária no ensino superior. O ‘Jogo da IU: Unindo os pares’ foi elaborado como uma estratégia ativa integrante das atividades educacionais da Sequência Didática. Os resultados apresentados, após a validação do Produto Educacional, demonstraram a viabilidade da Sequência Didática e o ‘Jogo da IU: Unindo os pares’ contribuiu para potencializar positivamente os conhecimentos, com foco na aprendizagem e fomentando a interação crítica entre as/os envolvidas/os. Foi possível subsidiar às/aos docentes da área da saúde em suas práticas pedagógicas com um material educativo de qualidade sobre a Incontinência Urinária Feminina. Do mesmo modo, o jogo também possibilita às/aos profissionais da saúde a abordagem da temática com as/os pacientes de maneira efetiva. Palavras-chave: Educação em Saúde. Materiais de Ensino.
