Resumo: Abstract: This study aims to analyze how action research is integrated into the pedagogical practices of elementary school teachers. It included a set of actions developed at a public school in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in which 25 teachers and three managers participated, in collaboration with researchers from a federal public university. The processes employed showed that the research allowed the collective construction of actions, characterized mainly by participation and dialogical stance among those involved in the investigative process, giving rise to the ability to critically reflect on their reality and intervene on it. In addition to contributing to the identification of the needs and interests of the school community, action research promoted space and time for teacher training within the educational institution and highlighted the potential of school-university collaborative work, based on the intentionality of investigative practice in the collective construction of knowledge. Teacher training.Resumo: Esse estudo se propôs a analisar como a pesquisa-ação se integra às práticas pedagógicas de professores do ensino fundamental. Destarte, contemplou um conjunto de ações desenvolvidas em uma escola da rede pública estadual do Rio Grande do Sul, da qual participaram 25 docentes e três gestoras, em colaboração com os pesquisadores de uma universidade pública federal. Os processos empregados evidenciaram que a pesquisa permitiu a construção coletiva das ações, caracterizadas sobretudo pela participação e postura dialógica entre os envolvidos no processo investigativo, ensejando a capacidade de refletir criticamente sobre a sua realidade e intervir sobre ela. Além de contribuir para a identificação das necessidades e interesses da comunidade escolar, a pesquisa-ação promoveu espaço e tempo para formação dos professores dentro da instituição de ensino e evidenciou a potencialidade do trabalho colaborativo escola-universidade, tendo como eixo norteador a intencionalidade da prática investigativa na construção coletiva do conhecimento.
