Digital technologies in contemporary times: reflections on the vulnerability of human beings in cyberspace

Resumo: A bibliographical, exploratory study is presented, using the deductive method, with the aim of discussing, from the perspective of personality rights, the impacts of digital technologies on contemporary society, as well as to reflect on the vulnerability of human beings in cyberspace. Through the review carried out, it was found that digital technologies, especially the internet, have changed people's daily lives, their lived experiences and their relationship with society. The networked, connected and informational society has brought new behaviors, new expectations and new ways of living. However, despite the benefits of digital technologies, cyberspace also poses risks to people's lives, including improper access to personal/confidential data and information, bank attacks, cyberbullying, among others.

A través de la revisión realizada se encontró que las tecnologías digitales, en especial internet, han cambiado el día a día de las personas, sus experiencias vividas y su relación con la sociedad. La sociedad en red, conectada e informacional ha traído nuevos comportamientos, nuevas expectativas y nuevas formas de vivir. Sin embargo, a pesar de los beneficios de las tecnologías digitales, el ciberespacio también presenta riesgos para la vida de las personas, incluido el acceso indebido a datos e información personal/confidencial, ataques a bancos, ciberacoso, entre otros.Apresenta-se um estudo, de cunho bibliográfico, exploratório e utilizando o método dedutivo, com o objetivo discutir, à luz dos direitos da personalidade, os impactos das tecnologias digitais na sociedade contemporânea, bem como refletir acerca da vulnerabilidade do ser humano no ciberespaço. Por meio da revisão empreendida, constatou-se que as tecnologias digitais, principalmente a internet, modificaram o cotidiano das pessoas, suas experiências vividas e sua relação com a sociedade. A sociedade em rede, conectada e informacional trouxe novos comportamentos, novas expectativas e novas maneiras de viver.
