Resumo: | Wireless channels are modeled through stochastic processes. This dissertation contains the assessment of the composite channel model for fading and multiplicative shadowing: Nakagami-mf/Nakagami-ms and - /Gamma. Bivariate distributions are used with, besides the traditional fading correlation, a shadowing correlation. Expressions such as probability density function, cumulative distribution function, moments, characteristic function and correlation coefficient were obtained. As an example of practical application, the performance metric outage probability in a selection combining diversity system was applied, comparing the theoretical expressions with computational simulations. As results from the performance analysis, it can be said that the nonlinearity medium parameters can greatly influence, negatively or positively, the increasing of the fading and shadowing factors contributes positively and the correlation is undesired. Especially, it was noticed that the manner in which the correlation between the inner processes occurs, considering the stochastic channel model, may result in different performance curves and the shadowing makes greater or less influence in comparison with the fading, depending on the channel model in question. |

Esta disserta????o cont??m a an??lise de dois modelos de canais compostos de desvanecimento e sombreamento multiplicativo: o modelo Nakagami-mf/Nakagami-ms e o modelo - /Gama. S??o utilizadas distribuic??es bivari??veis sendo que, al??m da tradicional suposi????o de correla????o no desvanecimento, admite-se correla????o no sombreamento. Foram obtidas express??es da fun????o densidade de probabilidade, da fun????o de distribui????o cumulativa, dos momentos, das fun????es caracter??sticas e do coeficiente de correla????o. Como aplica????o pr??tica, utilizou-se a m??trica de an??lise de desempenho probabilidade de indisponibilidade em um sistema de diversidade do tipo combinador por sele????o, comparando-se as express??es te??ricas com simula????es computacionais. Como resultado sobre o desempenho do sistema, pode-se afirmar que os fatores de n??o linearidade do meio podem exercer grande influ??ncia, negativa ou positiva, o aumento dos fatores de desvanecimento e sombreamento contribui positivamente e a correla????o ?? indesejada.
