IMPACTS OF BULLYING ON THE MENTAL HEALTH OF ADOLESCENTS: narrative review

Resumo: | Bullying can be conceptualized as: gestures that intimidate and harm people both verbally (with offenses and swearing), as well as physically through physical violence, and also psychologically. Such a practice is deliberate and recurrent, especially in schools, the aggressor takes pleasure in humiliating the victim and commits such an act in a recurrent manner. This violence is propaganda of different forms of interaction, in which students play specific roles, among them: aggressors, victims and witnesses. Considering that bullying is part of society and around the world, the present study aimed to present, through a narrative review, the consequences caused by bullying on the mental health of adolescents in the institutionalized educational context. This is an investigation of review of the narrative literature, this review does not use explicit and systematic criteria for the search and critical analysis of the literature. It was observed by the analysis of the analyzed articles that bullying is extremely harmful to the mental health of adolescents, since in their adult condition, they may present depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, problems in relationships, among several other impacts on their mental health. |

Tal práctica es deliberada y recurrente, especialmente en las escuelas, el agresor siente placer en humillar a la víctima y practica tal acto de manera recurrente. Esta violencia es propaganda de diferentes formas de interacción, en las que los estudiantes desempeñan roles específicos, entre los que se encuentran: agresores, víctimas y testigos. Considerando que el bullying forma parte de toda la sociedad y del mundo entero, el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo presentar, a través de una revisión narrativa, las consecuencias causadas por el bullying en la salud mental de los adolescentes en el contexto educativo institucionalizado. Esta es una investigación de revisión bibliográfica narrativa, esta revisión no utiliza criterios explícitos y sistemáticos para la búsqueda y el análisis crítico de la literatura. Se observó por el análisis de los artículos analizados que el bullying es sumamente dañino para la salud mental de los adolescentes, ya que en su condición adulta, puede presentar depresión, ansiedad, baja autoestima, problemas en las relaciones, entre varios otros impactos en su salud mental.O bullying pode ser conceituado como: gestos que intimidam e agridem indivíduos tanto verbalmente (com ofensas e xingamentos), quanto fisicamente através de violência física, e ainda psicologicamente. Tal prática é deliberada e recorrente, principalmente em escolas, o agressor sente prazer em humilhar a vítima e pratica tal ato recorrentemente. Essa violência é propaganda diferentes formas de interação, nos quais os alunos exercem papéis específicos, entre os quais são: agressores, vítimas e testemunhas. Considerando que o bullying faz parte de toda a sociedade e do mundo inteiro, o presente estudo teve como objetivo apresentar, através de uma revisão narrativa, as consequências ocasionadas pelo bullying na saúde mental dos adolescentes no contexto educacional institucionalizado. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica narrativa, essa revisão não utiliza critérios explícitos e sistemáticos para a busca e análise crítica da literatura.
