THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMANIZED NURSING IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH PSYCHIC DISORDERS: a literature review

Resumo: The general objective of this research was to demonstrate the importance of nursing care in the treatment of patients with mental disorders. In order to achieve the general objective, the following specific objectives were outlined: briefly present definitions and a historical overview of the theme; address international movements and Psychiatric Reform; dealing with mental health in the SUS; expose about the social exclusion resulting from the system; analyze the fundamental role of nurses in humanized care and assistance to patients with mental disorders; and finally, to expose published studies carried out in Minas Gerais. Furthermore, strategies for better treatment of the patient were suggested, such as music therapy and motor activities. It is a qualitative research, as the procedure is classified as bibliographical, descriptive-exploratory.

Para lograr el objetivo general, se esbozaron los siguientes objetivos específicos: presentar brevemente las definiciones y una reseña histórica del tema; abordar los movimientos internacionales y la reforma psiquiátrica; atender la salud mental en el SUS; exponer sobre la exclusión social derivada del sistema; analizar el papel fundamental del enfermero en la atención y asistencia humanizada a los pacientes con trastornos mentales; y finalmente, exponer los estudios publicados realizados en Minas Gerais. Además, se sugirieron estrategias para un mejor tratamiento del paciente, como la musicoterapia y las actividades motoras. Es una investigación cualitativa, ya que el procedimiento se clasifica en bibliográfico, descriptivo-exploratorio.O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi demonstrar a importância da assistência do enfermeiro no tratamento a pacientes portadores de transtornos mentais. Visando alcançar-se o objetivo geral, delineou-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: apresentar, brevemente, definições e um apanhado histórico sobre o tema; abordar sobre movimentos internacionais e sobre a Reforma Psiquiátrica; tratar sobre a saúde mental no SUS; expor sobre a exclusão social decorrente do sistema; analisar sobre o papel fundamental do enfermeiro no cuidado e assistência humanizada ao paciente portador de transtornos psíquicos; e por fim, expor estudos publicados sobre realizadas em Minas Gerais. Ademais, sugeriu-se estratégias para melhor tratamento do paciente, como musicoterapia e atividades motoras.
