LABEL(S) IN CHEMISTRY TEACHING: fabrics and their relationships with the problem of microplastics

Resumo: In this article, we share the conceptions of high school students within the context of junior scientific initiation (ICJr) and highlight the potential of using fabric labels to explore chemistry content and encourage educational discussions in the field of sustainability. The methodology adopted for this descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, consisted of systematically reviewing the literature, using indexed databases. As for the object of study, considering the existence of a diversity of fabrics with different purposes and demands, which change depending on the chemical composition of each fabric, chemical meaning was extracted and given meaning to the information of different fabric labels for signify content relevant to the field of chemistry and exalt issues closely related to sustainability. At the end of the training course, through the stimuli proposed in this context of ICJr, we have the qualification for a more conscious and critical training, in addition to specific contents of chemistry.

La metodología adoptada para esta investigación descriptiva y exploratoria, con enfoque cualitativo, consistió en la revisión sistemática de la literatura, utilizando bases de datos indexadas. En cuanto al objeto de estudio, considerando la existencia de una diversidad de tejidos con diferentes propósitos y demandas, que cambian dependiendo de la composición química de cada tejido, se extrajo el significado químico y se le dio sentido a la información de las diferentes etiquetas de tejido para significar contenido relevante para el campo de la química y exaltar cuestiones estrechamente relacionadas con la sostenibilidad. Al final del curso de formación, a través de los estímulos propuestos en este contexto de ICJr, tenemos la calificación para una formación más consciente y crítica, además de contenidos específicos de química.Neste artigo compartilhamos as concepções de estudantes do ensino médio inseridas no contexto da iniciação científica júnior (ICJr) e destacamos as potencialidades do emprego da etiqueta de tecidos para a exploração de conteúdos de química e fomento para as discussões educacionais no âmbito da sustentabilidade. A metodologia adotada para esta pesquisa descritiva e exploratória, de abordagem qualitativa, consistiu em revisar sistematicamente a literatura, utilizando bases de dados indexadas. Quanto ao objeto de estudo, considerando a existência de uma diversidade de tecidos com finalidades e demandas distintas, que mudam em função da composição química de cada tecido, extraiu-se e deu-se sentido químico às informações de diferentes etiquetas de tecidos para (re)significar conteúdos pertinentes à área da química e exaltar questões intimamente relacionadas à sustentabilidade.
