Between research and teaching: notes on the stricto sensu training project in Physical Education

Resumo: Stricto sensu training in Brazil aims mainly at the teaching qualification and training of researchers. This article results from an empirical research and investigates the project for the formation of the stricto sensu postgraduation in Physical Education. A documentary analysis was conducted and the empirical laboratory supporting the research was constituted by the Post-Graduation Program in Physical Education of the Universidade Federal do Paraná (PPGEDF) and by the Associate Post-Graduation Program in Physical Education of the Universidade Estadual de Maringá and of the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (PEF/UEM-UEL). Thus, the internal regulations of both programs available on their websites and the program proposals were verified. Norbert Elias’s figurative sociology was employed for the reading, interpretation and analysis of the data. Two projects based on the formative logic of post-graduation in Physical Education are presented here, one placing research as an evaluative element and the other approaching teaching. It was verified that a perspective of conciliation of this two logics can favor the formative process at the stricto sensu domain for this field.

El artículo resultante de investigación empírica tuvo como objetivo investigar el proyecto de formación de posgrado stricto sensu en Educación Física. Se realizó un análisis documental y el laboratorio empírico que apoyó la investigación fue constituido por el Programa de Posgrado en Educación Física de la Universidade Federal do Paraná (PPGEDF) y por el Programa de Posgrado Asociado en Educación Física de la Universidade Estadual de Maringá y de la Universidade Estadual de Londrina (PEF/UEMUEL). Por lo tanto, se verificaron las regulaciones internas disponibles en sus sitios virtuales y las propuestas de los programas. La sociología figuracional de Norbert Elias se movilizó para la lectura, interpretación y análisis de los datos. Se destacaron dos proyectos, que guían la lógica formativa del posgrado en Educación Física, uno que coloca la investigación como un elemento valorativo, otro que prestigia la docencia. Se concluyó que una perspectiva de conciliación de las dos lógicas puede favorecer el proceso formativo en el dominio del stricto sensu en esta área.A qualificação docente e a formação de pesquisadores constituem as principais finalidades da formação no domínio stricto sensu no Brasil. O artigo resultante de pesquisa empírica teve por objetivo investigar o projeto de formação da pós-graduação stricto sensu em Educação Física. Foi realizada uma análise documental e o laboratório empírico que deu suporte à pesquisa foi constituído pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Física da Universidade Federal do Paraná (PPGEDF) e pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação Associado em Educação Física da Universidade Estadual de Maringá e da Universidade Estadual de Londrina (PEF/UEM-UEL). Dessa forma, foram verificados os regulamentos internos disponíveis em seus sítios virtuais e as propostas dos programas. A sociologia figuracional de Norbert Elias foi mobilizada para leitura, interpretação e análise dos dados. Foram evidenciados dois projetos pautando a lógica formativa da pós-graduação em Educação Física, um que situa a pesquisa como elemento valorativo, outro que prestigia a docência.
