Resumo: Considered revolutionary when frst published half a century ago, Ri chard Posner’s Economic Analysis of Law still today rewards further refection. His analysis on the functions of constitutions, discrimination, freedom of ideas and re ligion and the role of state intervention remains as important as ever in our current world. Contemporary scholars may gain by advancing the applications of his teach ings, in particular by developing empirical methods in legal studies.
