Resumo: | This work aimed to understand Winnicott's concept of antisocial tendency and bring it closer to the phenomenon of crime. The research methodology adopted was a descriptive study with a qualitative method, using a non-systematic bibliographic review. In our country, the increasingly significant number of crimes committed causes general concern among the population and this increase in crime is increasingly reflected in spending on public security, the judicial system, and the prison system. From the research carried out, it was possible to observe two paths of emotional development described by Winnicott that lead to antisocial tendencies: when the baby's instinctual aggressiveness is not integrated into the personality and when the baby feels deprived of something good that already existed in his environment. In both cases, it is essential to promote a safe and trusting environment to minimize negative effects on children's emotional development. |

In both cases, it is essential to promote a safe and trusting environment to minimize negative effects on children's emotional development.Este trabalho teve como objetivo compreender o conceito de tendência antissocial de Winnicott e aproximá-lo ao fenômeno da criminalidade. A metodologia de pesquisa adotada foi um estudo descritivo de método qualitativo, utilizando-se de revisão bibliográfica não sistemática. Em nosso país, o número cada vez mais expressivo de crimes cometidos causa preocupação geral na população e esse aumento da criminalidade reflete cada vez mais nos gastos com segurança pública, sistema judiciário e sistema prisional. A partir das pesquisas realizadas, foi possível observar dois caminhos do desenvolvimento emocional descritos por Winnicott que levam à tendência antissocial: quando a agressividade instintual do bebê não é integrada na personalidade e quando o bebê se sente privado de algo bom que já existiu em seu ambiente.
