Impact on the mental health of frontline nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic: an integrative review

Resumo: Objective: To analyze the main factors that impacted the mental health of nurses during the coronavirus pandemic. Methods: Integrative bibliographic review carried out through a survey of articles published between 2020 and 2023. Results: Nursing professionals have worked with dedication during the Covid-19 pandemic in the world. They were in direct contact with the disease and the feelings of the patients, the nurses went through psychological impacts while dealing with the pandemic. Conclusion: One of the factors that most impacted nurses was the poor working conditions encountered during the Covid-19 pandemic, being one of the factors related to the increase in psychological damage. Finally, the importance of psychological counseling for affected professionals was noted.

Métodos: Revisão bibliográfica integrativa realizada por meio de levantamento de artigos publicados entre 2020 e 2023. Resultados: Os profissionais de enfermagem atuaram com dedicação durante a pandemia da Covid-19 no mundo. Estiveram em contato direto com a doença e os sentimentos dos pacientes, os enfermeiros passaram por impactos psicológicos enquanto lidavam com a pandemia. Conclusão: Um dos fatores que mais impactaram os enfermeiros foram as más condições de trabalho encontradas durante a pandemia de Covid-19, sendo um dos fatores relacionados ao aumento dos danos psicológicos.
