NURSING'S CONTRIBUTION TO FAMILIES OF ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

To investigate, through an integrative literature review, the contribution of nursing to the organ donation family members. This is an integrative literature review carried out in the SciELO, LILACS and BDENF databases between the months of October and November 2020, which were 44 references. After removing duplicates and using the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the final sample consisted of 7 articles. Results: The existence of vulnerabilities in the organ and tissue donation process that comes from the culture of the population is identified. This information is not being discussed in younger groups in schools, communities, colleges and at home. This causes a difficulty in understanding the population for organ donation and ends up leading the family member to refuse. A longlived and evolved look at organ donation is essential, in the same way that the education of professionals is being trained every day and helping the population to understand the process of helping a person who needs the organ that will no longer be used by the loved one.
