Nurses' performance in approaching the family during the process of captation, donation and transplanting of organ and tissue

Resumo: | The objective was to identify the perception of nurses in the family approach during their process of capturing, donating and transplanting organs and tissues. This is a descriptive, exploratory study with a qualitative approach, carried out in a referral hospital in the municipality of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, with five nurses working in the Intra-Hospital Commission for Donating Organs and Tissues for Transplants. A semi-structured interview was used as a data collection instrument. Data analysis took place through Content Analysis. The research project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee under consubstantiated opinion No. 2.890.870/2018. In the statements collected, after the categorization, the intrinsic importance of the nurse as a link in the process of organ donation and donation was observed. The performance of the professional in the participation of the approach to the family is established, in order to highlight the facilitating and hindering aspects of this approach, with a psycho-emotional involvement between the professional and the family. Therefore, the professional nurse is the mediator in the entire process, from collection to donation. It establishes all the family communication through the approach, in order to guide them on the importance of the process which I had repercussions on the life of another family. |

Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado em um hospital de referência do município de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, com cinco enfermeiros atuantes na Comissão Intra-Hospitalar de Doação de Órgãos e Tecidos para Transplantes. Utilizou-se uma entrevista semiestruturada como instrumento de coleta de dados. A análise dos dados se deu por meio de Análise de Conteúdo. O projeto de pesquisa foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa sob parecer consubstanciado nº 2.890.870/2018. Observou-se nos depoimentos coletados, após a categorização, a importância intrínseca do enfermeiro como elo no processo de captação e doação de órgãos. É estabelecida a atuação do profissional na participação da abordagem à família, de modo a destacar os aspectos facilitadores e dificultadores desta abordagem havendo um envolvimento psicoemocional entre o profissional e a família. Portanto, o profissional enfermeiro é o mediador em todo o processo, desde a captação até a doação.
