Resumo: The present research project aims to investigate, by means of a comparative study, the perception of nursing and pharmacy students about strategies to prevent Human Papillomavirus - male HPV. It is an applied and exploratory research on the knowledge of the theme of male HPV among students of the nursing and pharmacy courses of a college in Valparaíso de Goiás-GO, with a quantitative and qualitative approach as it includes data collection and analysis of perception, it also has characteristics of descriptive and explanatory research, as it aims to understand the studied social phenomenon. The hypothetical-deductive scientific method was applied, since it starts from the formulation of a research problem and hypotheses to obtain answers capable of solving or proposing a model applicable to the analyzed social phenomenon. The results were collected, using the standard questionnaire designed for this purpose and in the period determined in the research, initially 40 students will be selected to participate in the research, divided into four groups, namely, 1st group: at least 10 students from the initial semesters of nursing; 2nd group: at least 10 students from the final semesters of the nursing course; 3rd group at least 10 students from the initial semesters of the pharmacy course e. 4th group: at least 10 students from the final semesters of the pharmacy course. The data were systematized in spreadsheets for the generation of graphs and tables that allow better visualization and comparison, for this purpose Excel software will be used and the analysis was carried out by comparing the data of the studied groups. In the discussion with the measurement of the data of the interviews, it is concluded that the percentage of interviewees who already had sexually transmitted diseases is between 22 men for yes and 18 for no. A considerable total, during the interviews, 15 of the cases that already had STDs, claimed that they underwent medical treatment with a professional. It also showed that 35 of the 40 interviewees practice or have already practiced or had sex without a condom 5 interviewees use a condom in their sexual relations. And in the final considerations we can analyze that campaigns are needed to alert the disease, and without a doubt for the use of condoms, in addition to many other STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), the use of condoms during sexual intercourse is the main way to prevent infection by HPV. However, if there is contact between male or female genital areas not covered by the condom, HPV can be transmitted. Another recommendation would be to reduce sexual partners and avoiding sex with people with many partners can help reduce the risk of HPV infection.
