Covid-19 pandemic: self-medication and risks of intoxication (pharmacist's role). Problem: What is the role of the pharmacist in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic in the issue of self-medication and the risks of drug intoxication? Hypothesis: The professional works providing Pharmaceutical Assistance. Objectives: to present the risks of self-medication and drug intoxication in this quarantine period by Covid-19 and mention the role of the pharmacist. Justification: the pharmacist is the professional who is prepared to work in pharmaceutical care as a strategy to reduce the unnecessary use of medications. Methodology: This is an integrative review. Results: Self-medication was and is being a challenge for health professionals in this time of pandemic. And for pharmacists, the task is arduous and continuously worked on due to the dissemination in the internet media with information that is unsuitable, causing rampant purchases, running out of stocks and more, causing a lack of medication for those undergoing treatment. So, the case is serious and requires strategic plans from pharmacists focused on this issue.
