Resumo: With the advance of the pandemic, many questions were raised about the safety of the most fragile population, including the elderly. The objective of this work is to identify the types of violence most practiced, the sex most affected and who most attacked, helping to contribute to the confrontation of this issue. The research was carried out through an integrative bibliographical review, synthesizing in an orderly and comprehensive way the results obtained here, using as inclusion criteria articles published from 2018 to 2023, in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online - (SciELO), PubMed, Advanced Search Builder, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), Virtual Health Library (BVS) and ABEN (Brazilian Nursing Association), in Portuguese and English, involving studies or case reports. It was identified as results that psychological abuse was the type of violence most practiced against the elderly, followed by women as the most affected gender and children or family members in general with a potential risk of becoming aggressors. Therefore, it is concluded that the pandemic greatly affected the lives of the elderly and the means found to try to spread the spread of the virus contributed to the increase in cases of violence, generating immeasurable consequences that need to be analyzed and treated with responsibility and care.
