Resumo: The aim of this article is to present a literature review and an analysis of documents on educational advisors for the Black Community affairs in the state of São Paulo who worked with the State Department of Education in the 1980’s. The research involved a review of documents, dissertations, and theses from the databases of Capes and public universities. The present research and analysis showed that the advisors’ experience and their formative processes have not been thoroughly investigated. In addition, we observed that researchers from different fields of knowledge feel the need of such investigation, which shows the relevance of academic and social studies on the educational advisors for the Black Community affairs.

In addition, we observed that researchers from different fields of knowledge feel the need of such investigation, which shows the relevance of academic and social studies on the educational advisors for the Black Community affairs.Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a revisão bibliográfica e análise documental sobre assessores/as educacionais para assuntos da Comunidade Negra no Estado de São Paulo que atuaram junto a Secretaria de Educação do Estado de São Paulo no período de 1980 a 1989. Para atender a este objetivo foram realizadas consultas a documentos sobre esses assessores e consultas a bancos de dissertações/teses da Capes e de Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação de universidades públicas do Estado de São Paulo. Essa revisão bibliográfica, bem como a análise documental apresentadas mostraram que a experiência dos/as assessores/as e os seus processos formativos que se deram nessa experiência ainda não foram investigados exaustivamente. Além disso, foi possível identificar que pesquisadores/as de distintas áreas apresentam a necessidade de se realizar tal investigação.
