O coaching no desenvolvimento de compet??ncias empreendedoras: uma pesquisa-a????o

Resumo: | This study aimed to evaluate the contribution of coaching intervention on developing entrepreneurial competences of owner- managers of micro enterprises and small. The research is justified because of the following fact: according to a research conducted by SEBRAE (2013) the development of entrepreneurial behavior, positively influences the prospect of survival and growth of micro enterprises and small. Also, according to the same survey survival rates of firms are low, an initiatives are necessary to assist in the training of owner-managers. The model of entrepreneurial competencies adopted was extracted from the list of Man and Lau (2000) six types of entrepreneurial competences: (i) opportunity identification, (ii) relationship, (iii) conceptual, (iv) management, (v) strategic and (vi) commitment. The development of the research was based on action-research method proposed by Lewin (1946) which was complemented by the recommendations of Jouison-Laffite (2009), who suggests the application of this method to entrepreneurs through a cyclic process. The coaching intervention was performed with seven owners-managers of three companies. This process was applied during five months. In this period were held weekly coaching sessions that evolved according to the individual context of an each owner-manager. Finished the phase of collectoin data, data were analyzed according to Miles and Huberman (1994), who recommend the use of strategies and within-case e cross-case analysis. Data suggest a positive contribution of coaching intervention on the development of entrepreneurial skills. Two companies surveyed have management teams, so for these companies, the entrepreneurial competence more developed was the competence of relationship. The administrative competence is another entrepreneurial competence to which the data pointed as a focus of positive contribution of coaching intervention, because the owner-managers began to play more efficiently the activities related to administrative routines. It is suggested that future studies replicate partially or totally the present study to compare the results to be obtained and thus generate more support for the coaching intervention's contribution in the development of entrepreneurial skills. |

A pesquisa se justifica em raz??o do seguinte fato: de acordo com pesquisa realizada pelo SEBRAE (2013), o desenvolvimento do comportamento empreendedor influencia positivamente na perspectiva de sobreviv??ncia e crescimento de empresas de micro e pequeno porte. Tamb??m, segundo a mesma pesquisa, as taxas de sobreviv??ncia de empresas s??o baixas, sendo necess??rias iniciativas que auxiliem na capacita????o de propriet??rios-dirigentes. O modelo de compet??ncias empreendedoras adotadas foi extra??do do rol de tipos de compet??ncias empreendedoras identificado por Man e Lau (2000): (i) identifica????o de oportunidade, (ii) relacionamento, (iii) conceitual, (iv) administrativa, (v) estrat??gica e (vi) comprometimento. O desenvolvimento da pesquisa se deu com base no m??todo da pesquisa-a????o proposto por Lewin (1946), o qual foi complementado pelo trabalho de Jouison-Laffite (2009), que sugere a aplica????o desse m??todo com empreendedores atrav??s de um processo c??clico. A interven????o de coaching foi realizada com sete propriet??rios-dirigentes de tr??s empresas, tendo durado cinco meses. Nesse per??odo, foram realizadas sess??es de coaching semanais, que evolu??ram de acordo com o contexto individual de cada um dos propriet??rios-dirigentes. Feita a coleta de dados, eles foram analisados segundo a perspectiva de Miles e Huberman (1994), que recomendam uso das estrat??gias de an??lise intracaso e intercaso. Os dados apontam para uma contribui????o positiva da interven????o de coaching no desenvolvimento de compet??ncias empreendedoras. Duas empresas pesquisadas possuem equipes de dire????o. Assim nessas empresas, a compet??ncia empreendedora que foi mais desenvolvida, entre as seis compet??ncias estimuladas, foi a compet??ncia de relacionamento. A compet??ncia administrativa ?? outro ponto para o qual os dados apontam como um foco de contribui????o positiva da interven????o de coaching, pois os propriet??rios-dirigentes passaram a desempenhar de maneira mais eficiente as atividades ligadas ??s rotinas administrativas.
