SATIS-Stroke is a scale that was developed to evaluate the satisfaction of the activity and participation of individuals affected by the Stroke, however, it is not available in the Portuguese-Brazilian version. The objective was to translate and adapt SATIS-Stroke transculturally into the Portuguese language and to test reproducibility, concurrent validity and factorial analysis in this version. The translation process followed standardized guidelines which consisted of six phases: initial translation, synthesis of translations, translation of feedback, committee of experts, pre-testing of the final version and submission and appreciation of all written reports. Reproducibility was assessed by the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC2.1), standard error of measure (SEM), minimum detectable change (MMD) and Bland-Altman plot. The validity between SATIS-Stroke and SS-QOL was analyzed by Spearman's correlation coefficient and simple linear regression. The crude score and logits of the SATIS-Stroke Rasch model were analyzed. In the translation process, phase IV was where one of the major changes occurred, where the words "circumstances" were changed to "situations" and "needs" to "limitations." Excellent levels of reliability were found in the gross scores: intra-rater ICC2.1 0.91; inter-rater ICC 2.1 0.90; EPM 6,12-6,55 intra- and inter-eval; MMD 6.85 - 7.09 intra and inter-rater. And in the logits scores of the Rasch model we also found excellent reliability: intra-rater ICC2, 0.90; inter-rater ICC 2.1 0.89; EPM 0.29 - 0.31 intra- and inter-evaluative; MMD 1.49 - 1.54 intra and inter-rater. The Bland-Altman chart showed satisfactory agreement. And the results regarding the concurrent validation evidenced that there was a correlation of strong magnitude, positive and statistically significant between SATIS-Stroke and SS-QOL. The effects of ceiling and floor were considered beyond the acceptable standards for some items, however, the items demonstrated adequate internal consistency. In the exploratory factor analysis of variable extraction, the variables were more constructed for each component, however all domains of activity and participation of the CIF were found. This study brings the translated and adapted version of an important clinical measure used in both clinical and scientific settings, contributing to a better evaluation and therapeutic follow-up after stroke. In addition to excellent reproducibility results (reliability and agreement) and a strong correlation when compared to SS-QOL, which proves that the Brazilian-Brazilian version of SATIS-Stroke is a valid scale.
