A educa????o ambiental cr??tica e o saber popular na escola: o exemplo das plantas medicinais

Resumo: | Planet Earth is being devastated by anthropic activity. Due to that, it is undisputable the urgency in addressing the most effective way to create environmental awareness, after all, defending the ecosystem is a social responsibility. Critical Environmental Education (critical EA) aims to rescue one???s reality and experiences to provoke not only environmental but also social transformation by overcoming capitalism, consumerism and anthropocentrism. It is a manner of not reducing learning to a mere transmission of knowledge, but rather a collective exchange of it. Critical EA occurs through popular education (EP), which is the result of perceptions from people that had multiple experiences through life. This knowledge can return in a positive way by apprenticeship, considering that learning guided by experiences becomes more reflexive. This study aims to analyze if 6th grade students from elementary school have any knowledge regarding medicinal plants and if this ancestral popular expertise contributes to a more critical and empathetic vision concerning the ecosystem. Environmental issues are directly connected to not only ecological factors but also social, cultural, economic and political aspects. Therefore, educate for sustainability, using learner???s everyday topics ??? as in this research, ???medicinal plants??? ??? is a way of giving more meaning to environmental approach, because these issues are present in their daily life, which can stimulate the individual to reflect about the environment and therefore think about the topic critically. Moreover, it shows that it is necessary to give due importance to valuing popular knowledge in school. From a methodological point of view, this research had a qualitative-quantitative approach, which allowed to better use the data to obtain more complete results. The conclusions of this study point out that an environmental education approach by students??? everyday issues can be more effective in contributing for the reflection on subjects, generating social and environmental awareness. |

Por eso, es muy importante abordar de forma m??s efectiva la concientizaci??n ambiental, puesto que defender el medio ambiente es una responsabilidad social. La educaci??n ambiental cr??tica busca un rescate de las vivencias y de la realidad del individuo, hechos capaces de provocar una transformaci??n no s??lo en el ??mbito ambiental, sino tambi??n social, para superar el capitalismo, el consumismo y el antropocentrismo. ??stas son formas de no reducir el aprendizaje a una mera transmisi??n de conocimientos, pero transformarlo en un proceso colectivo de intercambio de saberes. La educaci??n ambiental cr??tica se da por medio de la educaci??n popular (EP). ??sta, es el resultado de las vivencias de personas que han tenido varias experiencias a lo largo de la vida, y sus saberes pueden ser algo muy positivo en el proceso de aprendizaje, pues una educaci??n basada en la vivencia es m??s reflexiva. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar si los alumnos del 6?? a??o de la ense??anza fundamental (seg??n los directrices educacionales de Brasil) tienen conocimiento acerca de las plantas medicinales y si ese saber popular ancestral contribuye a la elaboraci??n de una visi??n cr??tica y m??s emp??tica del alumno en lo que se refiere al medio ambiente. Las cuestiones ambientales est??n directamente conectadas a factores no s??lo ecol??gicos, sino tambi??n a factores sociales, culturales, econ??micos y pol??ticos. De esta manera, educar a las personas con el objetivo de construir un mundo m??s equilibrado, y abordar temas cotidianos del alumno, como proponemos en esta investigaci??n sobre las plantas medicinales, es una forma de dar m??s significado e importancia al abordaje ambiental, pues son temas que est??n presentes en nuestro d??a a d??a, lo que puede estimular al individuo a reflexionar sobre esta cuesti??n y, as??, pensarla de forma cr??tica. Adem??s, ese abordaje les ense??a a los alumnos y alumnas que es necesario dar la debida importancia a la valorizaci??n del saber popular en la escuela. Desde el punto de vista metodol??gico, la investigaci??n tuvo un abordaje cualitativo y cuantitativo, lo que confer??a al trabajo mayor aprovechamiento de los datos y resultados m??s completos. Las conclusiones de este estudio os revelan que una educaci??n ambiental presente en las conversaciones y reflexiones diarios de los alumnos puede ser m??s efectiva y generar considerable concientizaci??n ambiental y social.O planeta est?? sendo devastado pela a????o antr??pica. Em raz??o disso, ?? not??vel a urg??ncia em abordar de forma mais efetiva a conscientiza????o ambiental, afinal defender o meio ambiente ?? uma responsabilidade social. A educa????o ambiental cr??tica (EA cr??tica) visa um resgate de viv??ncias e realidade do indiv??duo, que provoque uma transforma????o n??o apenas no ??mbito ambiental, mas tamb??m social, enfrentando as adversidades do capitalismo, consumismo e antropocentrismo, contribuindo para sua supera????o. Essa ?? uma forma de n??o reduzir a aprendizagem em apenas transmiss??o de conhecimentos, mas um processo coletivo de troca de saberes. A EA cr??tica se d?? por meio da educa????o popular (EP). A EP ?? resultado das viv??ncias de pessoas que tiveram v??rias experi??ncias ao longo da vida, e esses saberes podem retornar de forma positiva na aprendizagem, pois uma educa????o pautada na viv??ncia se torna mais reflexiva. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar se os alunos do 6?? ano do ensino fundamental t??m conhecimento acerca das plantas medicinais e se esse saber popular ancestral contribui para uma vis??o cr??tica e mais emp??tica do aluno no que se refere ao meio ambiente. As quest??es ambientais est??o diretamente ligadas a fatores n??o s?? ecol??gicos, mas tamb??m a fatores sociais, culturais, econ??micos e pol??ticos. Dessa maneira, educar para a sustentabilidade, abordando assuntos do cotidiano do educando??? como no exemplo desta pesquisa, ???plantas medicinais??? ???, ?? uma forma de dar mais significado na abordagem ambiental, pois s??o assuntos que est??o presentes em seu dia a dia, e isso pode estimular o indiv??duo a refletir sobre a quest??o ambiental e, assim, pensar no tema de forma cr??tica. Al??m disso, mostra que ?? necess??rio se dar a devida import??ncia ?? valoriza????o do saber popular na escola. Do ponto de vista metodol??gico, a pesquisa teve uma abordagem quali-quantitativa, o que conferiu ao trabalho maior aproveitamento dos dados, para resultados mais completos.
