Resumo: In times of globalization, the article proposes the application of the concept of productive spatial circuits as a methodological procedure for the analysis of the patrimonialization in the contemporary world. The context under discussion involves the interrelations of urban restructuring projects with patrimonial assets and, as a strategy of city marketing, patrimonial policies that use the proliferation of cultural equipment, whether or not listed, to participate actively in the globalized cultural industry. Through research aimed at identifying the productive spatial circuits involved in the construction and operation of the Museu do Amanhã, the study includes the spatialization of the agents involved in these activities, as well as the role played by national and international organizations responsible for the production of this new icon of the landscape and of the Carioca imagination.

El contexto en discusión involucra interrelaciones de los proyectos de reestructuración urbana con bienes patrimoniales y, como estrategia de city marketing, políticas de patrimonialización que se valen de la proliferación de equipamientos culturales, reconocido o no, para participar activamente en la industria cultural globalizada. Por medio de investigación para identificar los circuitos espaciales productivos involucrados en la construcción y operación del Museu do Amanhã, el estudio comprende la espacialización de los agentes involucrados en esas actividades, así como el papel desempeñado por organizaciones nacionales e internacionales responsables por la producción de ese nuevo icono del paisaje y, del imaginario carioca.Em tempos de globalização, o artigo propõe a aplicação do conceito de circuitos espaciais produtivos como procedimento metodológico para a análise da patrimonialização no mundo contemporâneo. O contexto em discussão envolve inter-relações dos projetos de reestruturação urbana com bens patrimoniais e, como estratégia de city marketing, políticas de patrimonialização que se valem da proliferação de equipamentos culturais, tombados ou não, para participar ativamente da indústria cultural globalizada.
