There have been countless epidemics throughout history, but the pandemics of the 6th, 14th and early 20th centuries were those that had the greatest impact on human society, not only in terms of mortality, but also in social terms, economic and cultural. The Covid-19 pandemic is the fourth major epidemic, which is plaguing the world and has caused changes in social relations, especially in labor relations. Brazil has experienced the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on labor relations. This article analyzes the edition of Provisional Measures number 927 and 936, edited in 2020, and their impact on labor relations. The edition of the Provisional Measures is an attempt to reduce the unemployment rate due to the current pandemic, giving priority to the economic health of the company and consequently the preservation of jobs for the maximum time.
